The Lightbulb Goes On
Mos has been at me for ages to finish the script for chapter four. And it really should be known that I've been stuck with writer's block for the plot of this one. Those of you who write will know what I'm talking about. When I don't think about it, the whole thing seems to be there and waiting for me to put it into words. Then I start trying to put it down and then the details dance away and fade into the morning sun. And what I do manage to write seems to make little sense.
Which is a bad thing for a comic script. Especially if it's a mystery comic you're writing, and EVERY detail needs to match up.
Anyway, inspiration for chapter four came at the worst time possible: when I'm swamped with tasks to do and just as I was about to fall asleep last night. I will not elaborate, but I'll just say a new idea occured to me. I thought of how I could add something that could fix the gaping plothole that had me at a stalemate all this while. Granted, I would have to do a rewrite of some of the earlier parts, but that's what it's all about.
So script writing is still going on. It'll take a while still though. RL is being nasty, and I can't even keep up with updating TLS. So writing the script has to compete with that, and I have to sneak snatches of writing time between everything else.
I do miss a lot of things. I miss being able to spend time blogging and writing articles and participating in debates on the CG forums and drawing two comics at once. Well... okay, maybe not the last one. One at the time is challenging enough. But some things have to come first. Yet... so many things I miss, and I keep hoping I'll be able to take those up again soon.
Still, script writing IS going on. I'll keep you guys updated on its progress ;) Who knows, I might be able to send the thing off to Mos the next time I post.
Of course, there's still be the multiple rewrites after that... but one step at a time...
